Stringing Them Along

I decided the red chili's had spent enough time on the plant. Today was the day to sit idly on the porch with a needle and thread and string my chili's up to dry properly.

Today was also the day I watched Food, Inc. and really felt how important it is to know where your food comes from. This well-structured documentary really opened my eyes to the state of crops and agriculture in the US, and around the world for that matter. Thankfully, it was not all terrifying and hopeless, the movie also specified the direction that consumers can and should take. It's amazing the collective power we have. It starts with small things- like growing a sad little garden in pots on your porch or shopping at a farmers market (which is just more fun anyway)- and it leads to big changes, for us and our health, and the health of the environment.
