A week at Rhiw Goch: Merddin Emrys at Cei Mawr

Merddin Emrys was built in the railway workshops in 1879. It was converted to oil-firing in the early 1970s and fitted with a Hunslet boiler. A major rebuild was undertaken in 1987/88, and converted back to coal firing in late 2008.
