The nights are drawing in

A noticeable difference in Vancouver between 8 and 9 at night now.
When we first arrived there was still plenty of daylight in the sky at 9pm. Now it's more or less pitch dark at that point.

Locals seem impressed that there is still good weather. Apparently the sunshine should be long gone.  We've only had 1 and a half days of rain since we got here which is unheard of they say. Hopefully it's a sign.

I've missed the long nights this year. The sort of nights we got in Shetland, and to an extent Aberdeen as well. The flip side of that is come winter it should still be light here at 3.30 in the afternoon, unlike Shetland.
