Aliens Have Landed!

Orienteering in North Yorkshire Forest today and it has a reputation for toughness which was borne out by the length and physicality of our courses. My knees are clamouring for a hot bath! On the way home we stopped off at the Visitor Centre at the top of Sutton Bank famous for four things: the Gliding Club, the cliffs, the Kilburn White Horse and the number of HGVs which ignore the signs to avoid the Bank, and get stuck half way up! We had never taken the walk to the White Horse, so excited at the thought of blipping it, we headed out along the steep escarpment, gliders to the left of us, magnificent views to the right - till we reached the horse. We were not impressed, particularly as they had just been touching it up with spray paint!!

The views were worth the walk though. If you view this in large you can see the tiny farm vehicles working the land in the valley below!
