Buff Cheeked Gibbons

I had a lovely long lie in this morning!

We were joined for lunch by our friend A and her 5-week-old baby F. F was pretty well behaved and basically just slept and eat - a man after my own heart.

Later went to the zoo for a stroll, and we were pleased to see this baby Buff Cheeked Gibbon. Fact of the day - all buff cheeked gibbons are born golden then turn black as adolescents. The females turn gold again as they mature, while the males stay black. The gender of this baby is yet to be determined... It certainly clings tightly to its mother as she swings her way around the enclosure!

We also saw baby flamingos, so MrsCyclops thought the visit wat a great success!
