Shades Of Life

Bye bye 'burgh

The time had come to leave Edinburgh after a brief but lovely visit.

As my teeny one and I prepared to enter the hustle and bustle of Waverley Station I noticed the city's activities drawing to a close.

The preacher who promised conditional salvation had taken his soapbox and sandwich board down, the city tour guides were awaiting their own buses home and the piper plodded off, listening to something on earphones - a strangely modern addition to his attire.

I wonder what he listened to and if he is ever tempted to do a piped arrangement of a tune he likes - imagine Bad Romance, Wonderwall, What's New Pussycat or Let It Be...
