Cow

CowParade is an international public art exhibit, in which decorated sculptures of cows are exhibited in public places around the host city. After a few months, the cows are then auctioned and the proceeds given to charity.

In 2006, Edinburgh hosted its own CowParade. For three months, these wonderful, colourful cows brightened up the city.

It was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon one of the cows on a visit to Heriot-Watt University. The cow is called 'Watt a Clever Cow', and it was designed by staff and students at the university.
