This is Ricky Burns, from Coatbridge. Tonight he fought Roman Martinez of Puerto Rico for Martinez's WBO World Super featherweight title, in the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow.
As us Scots usually are, Ricky was the underdog.
Martinez floored Ricky in the first round.
Then guess what happened? Ricky Burns outboxed the Puerto Rican to steal a unanimous decision and be crowned...
the new WBO Super Featherweight champion of the world.
