Five Ways Shopping Centre

Another walk at lunchtime, while the sun was shining before the downpour luckily. Lots of contrasts to see when I walk round near where I work - some lovely buildings, flower-beds, trees - it's actually quite green, not just a concrete jungle.

And then there is the Five Ways Shopping Centre. Can you imagine a time when this was new and modern? It's difficult to do looking at it now. There was some talk about it all being knocked down for development but the current economic environment has probably put paid to that for the time being at least.

But someone is trying to make an effort - look at the lovely flower baskets on the railings!
