A salutary tale...

This carved statue lies just outside of Chandeswori Mandir in Banepa. The statue is 'recessed' into the ground, and is about two and a half times 'life size'. I was quite taken by the orange cloth which had been left at the head of the statue and thought that it provided an interesting and colourful counterpoint to the grey stone. Scrambling over rocks to get a better view I slipped and have managed to damage the lens so that it is effectively a fixed focal length..

Obviously my karma is not good today....
