Little Blue Heron

Tripod Tripod Tripod!!!!!! Little Blue Heron a smallish heron lives in the Southeastern United States. Breeds in freshwater and estuarine habitats.
It is the only heron species in which first year birds and adults show dramatically
different coloration: first year birds are pure white, while adults are blue.
The female makes her nest in the shape of a platform made of twigs and sticks. She lays three
to seven light blue eggs. They nests in colonies. Stalks it's prey in shallow water and eats frogs, crustaceans, fish, small rodents and insects.
This is a little blurred because it was raining and I did not have time to get the tripod out of the car. I am still playing with the setting and the new telephoto lens. All and all for the first time I grade it medium.
