Swimming Against The Tide

Exposed Radiator

An unusual sight indeed in our house!

We're not the sort of people who have "corners"! Every spare inch of space is full of something, a book, a CD, a DVD, a cuddly toy, a little somethingorother we brought back from somewhereorother!

However, one of the results of The Great House Sort, as it has come to be known, is that all sorts of bits of house are emerging from behind the stuff that usually hides them (in this case: a chair, two old lamps, about 20 carrier bags, a pile of Open University cassettes, two heaps of books, an old printer, and about 100 videotapes)!

As you can probably guess, I spent much of the day working on The Great House Sort, and it's coming along really well - in time for the arrival of Dexter on Sunday and the new bed on Monday! It was another one of those days of discovery, sorting and organizing! Very very hard work, but very satisfying too!

The best bit though was when the Wonderspouse came home after a week away herding academics - some were so helpless he even had to buy their train tickets for them! Honestly!

He arrived home with chips, which we ate, then dozed off on our sofas! Him exhausted by a week of herding, me by a week of hard manual labour round the house!

Roll on the weekend!
