Goldfinch

A lovely Spring day brought many visitors to the garden, among them this little fellow who looks a bit angry - I think he was debating whether to finish what he was eating or fly away! Goldfinches are New Zealand's most colourful finches.

Other visitors were Mr and Mrs Blackbird who were fossicking for nest building material, sparrows, chaffinches eating seeds and enjoying a fly in the gentle breeze and a few bumble bees. Its great to see the bumble bees returning after our winter.

A quick and early blip today, heading out with a busy evening.
