Swallow Prominent

Found by chance last night at 2am as couldn't sleep, so went down, turned the outside light on & went into the garden & there he or she sat. Took me a long time to get a good clear shot & in fact used the underwater setting on my camera with the flash...!

Common throughout Britain & flies between May & July... This one's late, it's September! Larvae feed on poplar (we have white poplar trees) & sallow.

Basically a furry beauty moth!
