I've got the hump

Ooooh, not too happy at this point. Just spent TEN hrs in a minibus heading out to the so called Sahara - in reality, a tiny patch of dunes outside some dusty town in the middle of god knows where. Saw 873.6 photo opportunities along the way from the minibus window as we sped past.
When we arrived, we were unceremoniously dumped by the side of the road by our minibus driver who promptly disappeared off into the dusk and we were confronted with 9 fleabitten and grumpy camels and 2 not so flea bitten but grumpy Tuareg blokes who loaded us and all our gear onto the backs of these poor beasts. I was quietly sulking as the light had faded so fast that this was the only shot i managed to get before the light disappeared completely. Anyway, all sulks soon forgotten as we lumbered off into the darkness and the near full moon lit our way. Lots of excited chatter and laughter soon faded as we were all slightly bewitched by the moonlit desert. 2 hours later and I know for a fact that all we were thinking about was our sore bums and how far was the bl@@dy camp :)

more to follow about the delights of our berber tent and night-long sand storm :)
