On completion of the 50 miles walk we were extremely well looked after by the volunteers of the LDWA. We were served tea or coffee, and provided with a cooked breakfast, followed by pud if you wanted it!

The Sussex Stride cost £15 to enter, and we were provided with refreshments all the way round from squash and biscuits to a bacon buttie - what value!

We left Rottingdean sometime after 6.00am and arrived home by 8.30am after a short stop for a nap on the A27.

I had a very quiet day, doing very little except cooking the Sunday Roast ... I was in bed and asleep for 8.30pm

With the exception of some 'mean' blisters on my heels, I felt in remarkably good shape ... tomorrow would be another day!
