cross country run?!

This afternoon in glorious sunshine the cross country run for Antwerp's primary schools took place. Last year there were only a few participants from Abbie and Pippa's school. Due to some advertising, enthusiastic new PE teacher and peer pressure we had quite a large group participating. They ran per year, boy and girls seperate.

For Abbie it was her first cross country race and I think she enjoyed it. It was Pippa's second race and she worked her way slowly up the field to finish really well (in between girls that were all born in 2002, where she is from 2003).

The boys above are also in Pippa's year and they were excited from the point of arrival in the park until way after the race. I love this shot as the excitement is almost dripping from their faces.
