Home and Rest

A very relaxing evening at home, me Jen and the cat all together on the sofa watching TV (Surrogates, reasonably enjoyable and nice and short).

The drive up from Newcastle started pleasantly, we stopped at Alnwick for a quick wander and some food at Louis' (big, big bowl of mussels for Jen and Craster kippers for me).

After Alnwick the rain started and there were no more of the discussed stops, we just made a bee-line for Edinburgh. At some points you could hardly see out of the window, even with the wipers on full speed. A stark reminder that the Summer that hardly materialised is most definitely over.
