Big doings in Wilmington, NC this weekend. Seems like all of southeastern North Carolina -- no, that's not an oxymoron -- folks down here actually use that term for our region, turned out. Perfect autumn day, shirt sleeve temperature, big contrast to the deluge of the past few days.

Something for everyone along the river front... antique autos, live music, vendors galore, heaps of calorie laden food of all sorts and more than enough people for people watchers to watch.

So, I believe I stumbled across a who's-got-the-best-arm contest. The girl is smiling because the guy just told her that he can steer any ship with his elbow. And her arm can bring sparkle into any dimly lit room. Meanwhile, the two arms on the left have been disqualified for lack of imagination. And the dog? Well, he's dejected because no fur is allowed.
