My tower's taller than your tower!

This is Beetham tower, overshadowing the Hacienda in Manchester. It is the tallest residential building in the country, supposedly.

We used to live in the Hacienda, in the days before our lives were dictated by how to feed, clothe, bathe and get small rascal beings from one place to another. So I felt a sort of affinity with this shot, but I was also pleased with another clear Manchester sky contrasting with the cool lines of Beetham tower (you either love it or hate it!) and the horizontal lines of the railway underpinning life in the city.

Plus, this is from the car park of no.2's new nursery. He was happy as Larry today (we did actually once know a very cheerful little boy called Larry) so that was good.
