Cross Over

Not much going on today. It's the '6th October' holiday today in Cairo which marks the anniversary of some Egyptians whooping some Israelis all over the shop back in the 70s for some reason or other. They named a bridge after it here in Cairo.

A holiday for me, but not for anyone else I know. So, I cleaned up the lightbulb that exploded in the kitchen, paid the rent, jumped in a taxi (driven by Abdulrahman, pictured) to Road 9, got a new battery for my watch and bought a peachy iced-tea from Costa before heading home again for not much else.

In other news, it's starting to come back, meaning life is about to get a whole lot more difficult.
