Dahlia in Acomb garden

Took Mum to hairdresser's in Acomb today. I then went wandering in the village and found some unusual dahlias in one garden. A man looked from an upstairs window so I smiled and gave the thumbs up before starting to take a few images.

The idea of partially desaturating the image is stolen (well I'm following someone else's idea) and I'm not happy that I have the result I really want. However, the time to sleep is fast approaching so this will have to do until I have more time.......

Went walking on Steel Rigg Circular this afternoon - perfect lighting - wonderful views - and who had left the card in the computer after this morning's session?
