Sunlit stove

A good day. Over to Carl early to watch the Hollyoaks omnibus (lots of drama!) in a nice cosy stove-warmed environment, brekky, then out with the intention of getting some fresh air and sunshine but too late to catch the sun. Stopped to top up the car with petrol, then on to Bray for what was meant to be a walk along the seafront but turned into a quick gulp of fresh air in the chilly, blustery wind and an equally quick dart to a seafront pub. On to Dalkey then, to sample a few other places (as in three different establishments), then to Fitzgerald's in Glasthule and an okay evening meal in O'Dell's restaurant across the road. By that stage it was getting lateish, and time for me to head back home to get my act together and think about the possibility of doing some work. All in all, a much-needed bit of R&R, just what I needed to unwind before facing into the rough week ahead.

By the way, the blurriness on top of the stove is due to what we call Wendy The Windmill, a heat-circulating fan which spins like crazy when the temperature reaches a certain level. Really very effective.
