Digging 42: More Cu alloy objects

Backblip

Finds again, in a grave on site. Once more it seems that these little rings (about 5 or 6 mm diameter) are fasteners for a shroud (a lace would be passed through to keep the cloth closed)
Ed excavated these beautifully, it is now much clearer how they were arranged... they were found encircling the chest of the skeleton, the shroud may have been almost like a sleeping-bag with a hood.
The black soil around may be remains of the (?woollen) cloth itself, we've sampled it to see if any fibres survive.
