Autumn...

How do you photograph autumn without leaves?

I've not got a clue. I think there's a point just as summer is disappearing where autumn is dry and the leaves are just discolouring and starting to drop. The nice part of autumn. We're now into the soggy, muddy part of autumn and I'm still looking for inspiration for my work photo club's monthly assignment.

This is a start and is probably the way I'll go if these patches stay around long enough.
