Nuremberg Street View

- Backblip - Nuremberg : Day 5

Our last day here. I have really enjoyed my visit and made some very special friends. Out and about early this morning, taking some last street shots before heading to the airport.

I really like the shape of this entrance to one of the underground stations. The view also shows loads of bikes, which are a big feature of this city. It has special cycle paths throughout and priority areas for cyclists and pedestrians. The view down the street is typical of the architecture, lots of colours, shapes and styles.

Our journey home was smooth, with a much easier transfer at Schiphol this time. I am amazed at the size of this airport. We taxied for nearly fifteen minutes to get to the terminal, crossing two motorways and a canal. I remember driving up the motorway when visiting The Netherlands a few years ago, and seeing a jumbo jet crossing a motorway bridge - somewhat distracting.

Back into a very busy Glasgow airport after circling over Bute and Largs for 20 minutes. It's the start of the school halfterm holiday and lots of families are off to seek the sun and get away from the grey sky.
