Long Tailed Tits

Back to the back garden feeding station for today's Blipfoto.

All the birds are welcome to my back garden, but some birds are slightly more special than others. The Nuthatch for example.

These characters are always a joy to see. They build the most incredible nests made from cobwebs, that can then stretch to accommodate the growing chicks. They are also one of the most sociable birds there is. Group feeding is very common, and adopting another birds chicks if their parents come to grief has also been recorded.

They are of course, Long Tailed Tits.
