A Day Trip

I decided to take a few hours off today and visit Winchcombe, Gloucestershire because Shelly has an art display at the Winds of Change Art Gallery running until the 30th October. Erika & Shelly used to be best buddies many years ago at school and she still lives locally to us. We are all terribly impressed with her talent and hope a publisher will notice her and take her on to do illustrations for books. One of her paintings is featured on the front page of the current edition of Cotswold Life and inside is an article about her art.
Another artist displaying their art at the same time is David Wigmore. I really like his work too and can imagine it would transfer well to tapestry designs for cushions or something.

As a memento I bought a limited edition print showing Great Malvern as we live on the other side of it from the Cotswolds - and that is the angle it has been taken from. When we drive over Clows Top towards Worcester (about 4 miles from here) we have a spectacular view of the Malverns.
I would have liked to have bought one of David Wigmores too but they were a lot more expensive and I didn't think I would get away with it!
