Swimming Against The Tide

Fresh Bread

Today we're bunking off. We have tickets to see The Boxer Rebellion in Bristol tonight, but we're not going. The Wonderspouse is too tired, I'm too frazzled. Instead we're going to spend the money we would have spent on petrol and parking getting a Chinese takeaway.

We tried an experiment this morning - letting Dexter loose in the house unsupervised. It was a failure - the curtain ended up in the washing machine again and we ended up clearing up a puddle of cat wee again. He seems to have picked up a habit that we shall now have to try to break somehow. The Wonderspouse made a vet appointment for Smudge to have repeat bloods next week. We'll discuss what to do then.

The Wonderspouse also spoke to my CPN on the phone, arranging appointments, seeking advice etc. Needless to say, there will be no reduction of medication for the time being.

We also caught up on last night's telly and slept on our sofas.

And the Wonderspouse baked fresh bread - here it is, still hot from the oven, in the loaf tin I bought him for a present a few years ago. We ate some of it within minutes of this picture being taken - with butter and some nice Cheddar!

Yum!
