Fungi

More snow on the mountains and on Banks Peninsula so a chill in the air and some rain.
Returned to the gardens again late this afternoon as I had seen some little birds bathing in a little stream. They were there again but as soon as they see or hear you they fly away. I found I could hide under a magnolia tree, but my lens was not long enough.
I decided that I would just enjoy them. There were Green Finches, Chaffinch, Red poll and Wax eyes all in the stream at the same time. Oh how I wish I had a large lens - Pooba -Gingernut, - I need your lens and expertise.
However I found this group of fungi, and I do have the lens for that, but I did hand hold so not as good as it should be,
