In the studio

First college assignment for the Commercial Professional Practise module of the BA - in the studio and working to a self-set brief. The idea behind this one was to create a series of three images to use as publicity for an imaginary play spanning several centuries (a bit like Orlando). In my imaginary play the central female character starts off in the eighteenth century but has other lives in the years between then and now. This image is the present day woman. The book started as a prop in the eighteenth century image, but ended up being used in all three images. The model was my friend R, who I think enjoyed her morning in the studio.
