Autumn in Corsica

Choosing one picture from a holiday selection is proving difficult. However, I've chosen this one because the main impression of our first day in the mountains of Corsica was that autumn was best season to see it. The trees are breathtaking in all their colours. The mountainsides are packed with trees - evergreen oak, beech, chestnuts. Wonderful.

We stayed in a village called Zicavo - very quiet, but perfect for a holiday getaway.
