Cooper & Dick

Snapshot of Cooper and his owner, Dick.

Cooper is a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Wheatens are originally from Ireland where they had a wireier coat called the irish coat. The Americans bred in the soft coat. The great part about these dogs is they never lose their youthful personality and they don't shed but need a haircut every two months. Cooper didn't make the cut to be a show dog because he was 1' too short at 3 months to meet the show requirements but his aunt won "Best Wheaten in the US" in 2008 and 2010 at the Pedegree National Championship in Westminister, New York and the 2010 Eukenuba Championships in Long Beach, Calif.

Cooper is two years old.
