Shop, shop, shop, shop, shop

I promised Rory that we'd go to Westfield, the largest shopping centre in Europe, today. We started with lunch at Wahaca to stave off any hunger and sustain us for a good browse. Whilst eating, we admired the living wall of plants (a beautiful, bushy foliage attached to the wall vertically) surrounding the restaurant area.

The shopping was fun and we each got a little something, although Rory found more treasures than mum or I. Being so large, there's a lot of space to move around the shopping centre and plenty of seats. It was quite a nice shopping experience, although I won't rush back there - once or twice a year is enough!

We headed home to pack the bags and eat some dinner, then I chaperoned mum and Rory to Euston. Of course, the bus, train and tube were all delayed and Mum's Oyster card broke, which meant we couldn't get out of the ticket gate... But we got there in the end and the sleeper train was boarded with a few minutes to spare. Phew!

It was really fantastic to have mum and Rory to visit. You're welcome back at any time and perhaps the cat will say hello next time. Silly, scaredy puss.
