a day in the life of Jack

Apple Picking!

Although it was a bit chilly, we decided to go apple picking!!

It's something I remember always doing as a child...fruit that you pick yourself somehow tastes even sweeter!!

We started our apple orchard visit by taking a hayride through the many rows of apple trees...so many different kinds!! Jack sat on Daddys lap so he could get a better view, and had a big smile on his face the whole time! :)

We then grabbed our bag and headed up the hill to start picking!! We could decide which ones to pick, so we picked a few of each! Jack really liked the green ones.

*I should add that Jack sang "Don't sit under the Apple Tree" by the Andrew Sisters the whole time!! (we sing that while climbing the apple trees in our yard!)

Now, time to make some pumpkin dip for a birthday party this afternoon for my sister-in-law. It's soooooooo good, perfect for dipping ginger cookies, vanilla wafers or apple slices in!!

I won't have time to do much commenting today or tomorrow, but I will at least stop by to see your blips!! :)

Have a great rest of the weekend!!!

Easy pumpkin dip:

Mix 1 + 1/2 cups powdered sugar with 8 oz. whipped cream cheese. Add 1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin puree and 1 + 1/2 tsp. of pumpkin pie spice. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
