I took the car back the way we went the day before yesterday, along the road which will link the fifteen or so wind turbines on this section, to take this shot of part of it.

When we saw this on Sunday we were shocked. The beginning of this road would have existed pre-turbine, although just as a single track rough lane. But I doubt whether any proper way through existed in the area shown in the photo because non of the land is cultivated and probably hasn't been for centuries.

We were shocked because of the sheer scale of it all and the enormous amount of mud and rock that has had to be moved, not to mention the trees! You can see it winding away into the distance. It all must be costing millions, but that just shows what profits can be made from wind energy.
