The Swans

Swimming lessons were first on the agenda today. The boys made their lesson. Esmundo was moaning and dragging her feet getting ready. I decided not to battle with her so she didn't go:-(

Then we had a visit from one of Es's wee friends...so there were more kids than usual cluttering up my lounge while Mr R & I tried to do some tidying!

After lunch we had a family meeting to decide on the afternoons activity. None of the army could agree, bowling...swimming...skating...walking...coffee & cake...

It was put to the vote. Once the ballots were counted (because Es wouldn't just let us do a show of hands) it became apparent that somebody had been stuffing the ballot box there were more votes than family members! So I went into dictator mode and decreed bowling followed by a walk round Airthrey Loch and the all important hot chocolate and cake:-)

There was rioting but the angry hoards were calmed with the promise of their activity tomorrow!

The walk round Airthrey Loch was fantastic. It was a lovely autumn day. The swan family have changed quite a bit in the month since we were up at the loch. The babies have started to loose there brown feathers.

Oh... and buncle won the bowling. He got a double strike and that pretty much sealed it for him!
