on tarmac

This shot taken while waiting for to leave Auckland airport. All the flights around NZ were running late because of fog in Christchurch Airport (56 Tip: if you ever decide to live in Christchurch get a place on the hills or in Lyttleton) and because of a little incident in Wellington. Seems like whenever I jump on a plane someone crashes.

I was lucky - had 30 minutes to make my connection so wasn't one of the people who waited for the bus (thinking it would be quicker than walking) to the international terminal, then ran all sweaty and flustered past the queue for departure tax, the ran back and stood sweaty and fidgety as the queue crept forward, then ran again only to have to open their bag for a leisurely security check, a quick drink of their one litre water bottle, then a word with the security guard after dumping what contents they couldn't drink onto the plants....

And then more running. Some people just shouldn't run. Somehow some people move slower when they run.

Anyway, this is the last container to be loaded onto our flight. Someone didn't run fast enough and it was emptied of it's contents of skis until their bag was found and removed.
