Spending Review

One of the cuts annouced in the recent government spending review was that the four Coastguard Tugs patrolling UK waters would be scrapped from service. This was announced on the day that the nuclear sub ran aground on Skye and needed the sister ship of this one to pull it free. I understand that the decision is now under review but probably just to say no later on.

Here the Anglian Sovereign is berthed at the harbour in Scalloway where it is a regular visitor during its patrols of the North Isles waters.
