Falling leaves... inside

Seems like a busy day where I haven't done much... not sure that makes sense, but then again feelings often don't!!

Spent the morning messing around the house, just having fun chatting and chasing around like 5 year olds :)

Waved Jeff off back to the Steel City then went to a stats lecture. Plan after that was to get some of the stuff on my big A4 list ticked off... unfortunately nowt much has magically dissapeared :S

Did manage to get a card for a friend who's ill (David - my sort of adopted grandfather in Aber) and delivered that :) Tidied room, sang/played guitar, sorted uni notes, messed round with flatmates, then tried to cook tea...

Well, all was going fine until the hob stopped working... actually, all the lights went off upstairs :o

Let me take a moment out for a little rant... please excuse me and skip if feel the need.

I really think this house we're in hates us! We arrived and the first day the door in the dining room came off the hinges, then a few days later the freezer door also came off. Add another few days and after some re-wireing, when you turned on the landing light, all electricity went off and we had to reset the fuse box... this was also the case we found out a little later with the 4th and biggest hob ring... okay, so the light and the dining room door got fixed, we just remained one hob ring down. Couple of days later and lights started blowing... then the bathroom light switch broke all together... candles in the bathroom for a few days, fine... until strange red stuff came out of the plug in the shower while one of the girls was in the bath!!! Especially scary by candle light and looked like a scene from a horror film! After about a week, that stopped and we got the light fixed :) Excellent... so then they put locks on the doors... but only I have a front door key... the others use the back door, where you have to navigate the two tricky gates - both of them stick horrible and the locks aren't aligned. Yet this was really nothing to complain about. Next, one of the girls was having a shower (where incidentally the temperature gauge doesn't work) and the shower head broke and fell off on her head... okay, so we'll shower from a pipe for a week or so. Then the boiler broke a few days ago, so no hot water, and the fridge door came off. Reckoned they'd mended the boiler yesterday, but again we have no heating and no hot water tonight. Finally, just earlier tonight I started to cook and all the lights went off upstairs. Turns out we can't turn any of the hob rings on without tripping the system... so microwaved pasta it is :S This house definitely hates us!!! Rant over :)

So yeah, where was I, uneventful day. Jeff found me a pretty leaf, so I had fun throwing it round my bedroom and trying to take pictures of it :)
