SPECS

As vehicles pass between the entry and exit camera points their number plates are supposedly digitally recorded by the SPECS system, whether speeding or not. The images of matching plates are paired up, and because each image is time/date stamped, the computer is then supposed work out if the average speed is too high.

Pictured above through the heated windscreen; a SPECS system sited by roadworks near Frodsham, Cheshire on the M56.

Wether it spotted the BMW tearing past me ON THE INSIDE LANE at 70mph+ is anybody's guess though.
