Red squirrel

Was just watching Alison off to work for the afternoon session when noticed that the neighbour's cat was taking a real interest in our crab apple tree. Expected to see a bird but was delighted to see this squirrel. They're normally very quick and hard to get close to, but this one was petrified by the waiting cat. Grabbed the camera and got two or three shots - then I was even able to get a small stepladder to get a bit closer. The cat walked off disgruntled at my interference.
