The pace of change is absurd in Australia. Honestly, you can't walk down a street without seeing a building that isn't there any more. So the stubborn refusal of The Elms at the top of Spring Street to enter the 1970s, let alone the 21st century, is to be applauded. As is the huge wooden bear lamp.
