Since 28th July 2010 my journal has been documenting the construction of a wind farm in the Terra Alta region of Catalunya, Spain. We own and live in a Mas (finca) which is on the line of the wind turbines, and will have two of the beasts within 300 metres of our home.

Maybe this blip will help to give some idea of scale... or it could just give you an idea of how large a Labrador's ears are when they're blowing in the wind!

There are wind turbine parts all over the place now, although more at some sites than others, and there seem to be four or five lorries delivering per day. There are ten bits to every wind turbine, although sometimes there are two blades to a lorry... how many days worth is that?

Answers on a postcard please, but no prizes because I don't know the answer.

Apologies because I will probably get behind with commenting this week, because we're spending more time in the village house... where there's no internet until we get round to swapping it over.
