Since 28th July 2010 my journal has been documenting the construction of a wind farm in the Terra Alta region of Catalunya, Spain. We own and live in a Mas (finca) which is on the line of the wind turbines, and will have two of the beasts within 300 metres of our home.

All the parts of a wind turbine were at this site, which is the one directly in front of our Mas, yesterday except for the actual generator... which has arrived this morning. Actually, we followed it as we came back to the Mas to use the internet. The generator is quite cylindrical, very different from all the other wind turbine tops around here. Maybe it will be quieter?
