Rose hip

A few red roses are still blooming outside the backdoor but the rest from the summer have now turned into these beautiful hips. They never seem to disappoint and have been the subject of countless drawings and paintings I have tried.

Another dark and wet day but at least we were lucky and escaped the gales forecast for last night. The two youngest calves and their mums were brought in from the field yesterday and must have had a really cosy night inside on dry bedding.
