Sitting Bull

By the Indian artist Dhruva Mistry at Otterspool. It was originally commissioned for the Garden Festival in Liverpool in 1984. The bull represents Nandi awaiting the Indian god Shiva's arrival in Liverpool. Nandi is the bull that Shiva rides and is also seen as the gatekeeper to Shiva's temples.
