Several fisher-people all standing attentively on the banks of the Tweed this morning.

This guy was the only one who was actually in the water; periodically up to his midrift, but usually only mid-thigh.

The temperature was hovering about the freezing mark, and snow was lying on the verges.

And they say golfers are mad!!
