Garden Visitors

Woke up to a decent dump of snow this morning - probably 4 or 5 inches.
4x4 necessary to get my son to his swimming lesson first thing, and then home for coffee and toasted teacakes in front of the log fire.
Living in the country means that my garden id always full of birds, from buzzards to coal finches.
At the risk of sounding like a prententious middle-class snob, the only thing I could find to put out as food this morning was some parmesan and sun-dried tomato bread. However the birds didn't mind and scoffed the lot.
All cock-pheasants are called 'George' as this was the name given to them by my son when he was very young.
