The tree

The simple outline of this tree and its shadow was one of many eye-catching scenes I spotted today.
Snow is only good for looking at. It makes work and driving twice as hard, and it comes with very cold weather.
A weather expert of the Radio 4 Farming programme very early this morning said the long range weather 'model' was for a freezing December, 'significant' snow in the last two weeks of January, and then a milder but rainy Feb'. He said winter really had come early, but would end early too. Hope so! And must take 2 weeks holiday abroad in late Jan'....
